Dr. Francis Rinaldi

Dr. Frances Rinaldi, artist since 1970 and storyteller since 1993, derives her subject matter from nature and moments in time. Her preferred medium for her paintings is acrylic. After studying mosaic in Italy, she began adding glass accents into her paintings. She also creates glass mosaics that can be inserted in doors and windows.

She is the author of two children’s books Night Walk, a book of eight short stories for children ages 7 to 11, and How Silver Fox and Coyote Came to Color the Butterfly for ages 3 to 8. The illustrations in her books were painted using watercolor with acrylic accents.

Dr. Frances Rinaldi loves sharing tales of all kinds, with some preference to those related to her by her grandmother. Some of her other stories are featured in Night Walk, a book she authored and illustrated. As a Doctor of Chiropractic, she incorporates art and storytelling into the healing process. Dr. Rinaldi said, “The greatest compliment a person can give to another is to listen to his or her story.”
